She was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 69 in the capital town of Iba for kidnapping with no bail.

According to reports, Macatangay was charged with kidnapping after she reportedly took their neighbor’s newborn child in this town in 2017 to replace her aborted child with her Japanese boyfriend.

The child’s parents positively identified Macatangay as the culprit and sought the assistance of the authorities to file a complaint against her.
