Acting Presidential Spokesperson Karlo Nograles made the remark after Go, whom Duterte had publicly supported, announced his withdrawal from the presidential race.
鈥淪i Pangulo has options, has choices that he has to make and we should give him time to make those options, to make those, choice, to make those decisions and give him the leeway to make the announcement kung kelan niya iyon gusto gawin,鈥� Nograles said in a press briefing.
鈥淎ntayin na lang natin si Pangulong Duterte,鈥� he added.
Following Go鈥檚 withdrawal, Davao City Mayor and vice presidential aspirant Sara Duterte-Carpio, President Duterte鈥檚 daughter, called for unity among supporters.
Duterte-Carpio鈥檚 running mate is former senator Ferdinand 鈥淏ongbong鈥� Marcos Jr. who is aiming for the presidency.
