Three kids drown, another still missing in Northern Samar

TACLOBAN CITY — Three children drowned as another one remained missing while swimming in Bobon town, Northern Samar on Sunday (May 29).
The fatalities were identified as Aira Bantayan, her sister Honey Aleah Mica, and cousin Maria Flor Oliva.
Oliva’s sister, Janice, was still missing.
Police Corporal Marcolino Dan Lacsarum of the Bobon municipal police office said a search and rescue operation is being conducted to locate Janice.
Based on the initial investigation of the local police, the children were swimming at the beach in the village of Magsaysay, about 500 meters away from the town proper.

Article continues after this advertisementTheir adult companions as well as the local police were able to retrieve Maria Flor and sisters Aira and Honey Aleah and brought them to the Northern Samar Provincial Hospital in Catarman.
However, the three kids were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
