DOH logs 568 COVID-19 cases, active now at 7,192

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Tuesday 568 COVID-19 cases, bringing active cases up to 7,192, as shown on the website.

The nationwide COVID-19 caseload rose to 3,702,319, with 3,634,596 recoveries and 60,531 deaths.

These new cases, however, were lower than the 662 average number of infections recorded from June 20 to 26.

FEATURED STORIES

Among the regions, Metro Manila still had the highest number of infections with 4,078, followed by Calabarzon with 1,448 cases, and Western Visayas with 717.

In Metro Manila, Quezon City had the most reported cases with 868, followed by Manila with 529 and Makati with 510.

As of June 26, the DOH identified five areas in Metro Manila as “moderate risk” for COVID-19 infection — Quezon City, Marikina City, Pasig, San Juan, and Pateros.
