PNP supports newly appointed chief Azurin

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday pledged support for the leadership of its newly appointed chief Police Lt. Gen. Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. named Azurin as the 28th chief of the PNP.
“The entire 226,000 strong men and women of the Philippine National Police pledge to support the new leadership of the organization after President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr appointed Police Lieutenant General Rodolfo S Azurin Jr. as the new and 28th Chief of the Philippine National Police,” the PNP said in a statement.
“Under PLtGen Azurin’s direction, we assure the public that our police force will sustain its momentum to carry out PNP’s mission and to deliver its mandate with utmost integrity, credibility, and professionalism, all for the safety and protection of our Filipino people,” it added.

Article continues after this advertisementBefore his new appointment, Azurin served as the commander of the Northern Luzon Police Area that covers the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley Region, Central Luzon Region, and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
