Bongbong Marcos meets with Filipino-Chinese business community leaders

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. met with officials of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) to discuss the country’s economic recovery post-COVID-19.

In a post shared through his official Facebook page, the President on Saturday said he met with the FFCCCII officials at the Malacañang Palace on Friday, Sept. 30.

“We thank our friends from the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. for meeting with us yesterday and for sharing their ideas to speed up our country’s economic recovery from the pandemic,” he said.

He then expressed his gratitude to the Filipino-Chinese business leaders for responding to him for a “whole-of-nation approach” to COVID-19 economic recovery.

“We are pleased they have eagerly responded to our call for a whole-of-nation approach to addressing this immense and arduous task,” said Marcos Jr.

Both the President and the Palace, however, have yet to release details about the meeting.
