NVC Foundation creates earth-friendly Christmas ornaments for a cause
BACOLOD CITY — The Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) Foundation has created “an all-in-one swoop gifts that save the earth” for Christmas.
The gifts crafted in NVC Foundation’s Artisans of Hope livelihood workshops are colorful Christmas balls, miniature parols, nativity scenes and angels to hang on one’s tree made of discarded Nespresso capsules.
“They are not only perfect as Christmas gifts, they are actually gifts that give back,” said Millie Kilayko, president of NVC, on Wednesday, October 5.
The foundation started producing these unique, beautifully handcrafted gifts early for people who want to make the spirit of giving this Christmas extra meaningful and special.
“That is because each ornament they buy feeds an undernourished child with Mingo Meals to give them a better start in life,” Kilayko said.

The ornaments also support local artisans’ livelihood and help save the environment by recycling discarded Nespresso capsules, Kilayko said.
