Active COVID-19 cases in Cavite down to 238
LUCENA CITY – The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cavite province dropped to 238 from 405 last November 1, according to the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
In its Friday afternoon bulletin, the PHO said that only the towns of Magallanes and Mendez, out of the 23 municipalities in the province, have no COVID-19 cases.
Those previously infected in the localities have either recovered or died, the PHO report showed.
Bacoor City had the most number of active COVID-19 cases with 79, a significant increase from the 26 cases logged last November 16.
Provincial health authorities did not provide information on the COVID-19 variants of the active cases.
Article continues after this advertisementThe infected individuals have been admitted to several hospitals while some are on home quarantine.
As of Friday, Cavite has recorded 189,262 COVID-19 cases, 185,250 recoveries, and 3,774 deaths since the pandemic broke out in March 2020.
