LUCENA CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Batangas suspended sea travel for all small vessels in the province Sunday, Dec. 18, due to bad weather.

Citing a 5 a.m. forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the PCG advisory said a strong gale with wind force and rough to very rough sea conditions meant that all trips of small crafts with 250 gross tonnages or less, like motorized passenger or fishing banca, throughout the Batangas port “are hereby suspended.”

The order, signed by Captain Victorino Ronaldo Acosta IV, was posted on the Facebook of the Coast Guard Station Batangas around 11 a.m.
