Citing a report, the PNP said in a statement that three members of Anakpawis Bulacan Chapter surrendered to personnel of the second Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and Limay Municipal Police Station. They also surrendered one unit of Colt cal.45 and two live ammunition.

PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., meanwhile, disclosed the surrender of a former member of the New People’s Army (NPA). “Sonny” and “Lara” – allegedly former members of Anakpawis and Gabriela – submitted themselves to authorities in Olongapo City and yielded one homemade caliber .38 revolver loaded with four live ammunition, the PNP said.

Another rebel, “Amparo” – supposedly a former member of Underground Mass Organization, surrendered to the Zambales 2nd PMFC, the PNP added.

(To the rest of our brothers in the mountains who are still uncertain about surrendering, our government and the PNP are here to receive you as you return to the side of the our government.)

(And our wish, in the days to come, is to be with them so that they too can experience living in peace and without fear.)
