Alleged big-time marijuana pusher busted in Quezon

LUCENA CITY — Police drug enforcers busted an alleged big-time trafficker of marijuana on Saturday, March 4, and seized more than P186,840 worth of the prohibited hemp in Tiaong town in Quezon province.
Quezon police chief Colonel Ledon Monte reported Sunday, March 5, that members of the local police drug enforcement unit collared Charles Yanci Limbo, 22, around 7:30 p.m. after he sold P5,000 worth of marijuana to an undercover cop in Barangay (village) Lumingon.
Authorities confiscated from the suspect a weighing scale and a total of 519 grams of dried marijuana leaves with a street value of P186,840.
The report tagged Limbo as a “high-value target” in the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign.
Meanwhile, a security guard held another suspected marijuana pusher at a concert of a popular band at the public high school grounds in this city held Saturday night.
Article continues after this advertisementDuring a routine search, the suspect, Samuel Dalwangpo, 24, was found carrying a mini-glass jar containing dried marijuana leaves worth P5,868 in the street market.
Article continues after this advertisementThe suspect, classified as a rookie in the illegal drug trade, was turned over to the police for proper disposition.
The two suspects were detained and will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
