MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Monday set up a first aid station accessible to the public near the Batasang Pambansa Complex in preparation for the upcoming second State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
In a Twitter post, MMDA said the Road Emergency Group and Metropolitan Public Safety Office personnel will be dispatched along Commonwealth Ave. for emergencies.

The agency added that an ambulance is also on standby to aid Sona participants when needed.
MMDA said 1,300 field personnel would deploy near the venue to manage traffic flow and to aid the Task Force assigned to maintain order during Sona.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police said 22,000 cops were on standby within Metro Manila to ensure public safety.
