MANILA, Philippines — Rainshowers are expected in some parts of Visayas and Mindanao, while the rest of the country will see hot and humid weather on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
In its morning forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) would continue to affect most parts of Mindanao and Palawan, while easterlies would prevail over the rest of the country.

“Due to the ITCZ, we are expecting rains over parts of Mindanao and Palawan,” weather specialist Rhea Torres said in Filipino.
“And for the rest of the country, the hot weather will continue. We expect this weather to last until the coming weekend,” she added.
Torres also said no low-pressure area or tropical cyclone was monitored inside and outside the country’s area of responsibility.
She added that no gale warning was raised on the country’s seaboard.
