“How many tropical cyclones are we expecting? For the month of August, two or three at least, and so far wala pa naman tayong namomonitor hanggang sa araw na ito (we have not monitored any until today); and then by September, two to three tropical cyclones; October, two to three tropical cyclones; November and December, one or two tropical cyclones; and then by January, one or none,” Perez said during the Oplan Balik Eskwela Launch and Command Conference for the school year 2023-2024 on Tuesday.

He also added that the tropical cyclones that will affect the country towards the end of 2023 may or may not travel directly to the country.
