MANILA, Philippines — An armed motorcycle rider caught on video taunting a law enforcer during a confrontation on Osmeña Highway in Makati City has surrendered to the police.
Southern Police District (SPD) said 48-year-old Angelito Rencio turned himself in at a police station in Makati City at 7:45 p.m. on August 31.

He had introduced himself as a retired member of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP).
But his claim was denied by AFP spokesperson Medel Aguilar.
“He is not with us,” Medel told in a message.
The armed rider and Police Staff Sergeant Marsan Dolipas, who was on board his vehicle, were caught on camera as they argued over traffic flow last August 25.
The video went viral on social media.
Reports said Rencio hurled invectives at Dolipas while raising his middle finger, prompting the latter to alight his vehicle and confront the suspect.
As seen in the video, Dolipas took the gun tucked on Rencio’s waist and pinned him down “as a precautionary measure.”
They were later brought to Makati City police substation 3.
Rencio, however, pretended he was going home to get documents for the firearm.
Instead, he escaped.
SPD said operatives of Makati City police filed a complaint against Rencio at the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office last August 30.
The cases were for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, Usurpation of Authority and Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority.
