DepEd: Teachers complete training in time for 鈥楳atatag鈥� curriculum鈥檚 pilot test

MANILA, Philippines — The training for teachers employed in schools set to participate in the pilot implementation of the “Matatag” curriculum, or the revised K to 10 program, has already been completed, according to the Department of Education (DepEd).
DepEd said that it has already finished the training for teachers in time for the pilot run scheduled to commence on Monday (September 25), which covers 35 schools from the National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Regions 1 (Ilocos Region), 2 (Cagayan Valley), 7 (Central Visayas), 12 (Soccsksargen), and Caraga.
“Our Curriculum and Teaching Strand has completed the training for teachers who will handle these classes,” the agency told reporters on Sunday.
“School and SDO (school division office) personnel who will be part of the implementation, monitoring and assessment have also been oriented,” it added.
Aside from the teachers’ training, DepEd disclosed that fund support was downloaded to the participating regions.
Article continues after this advertisementIt added that Learning Action Cell sessions were also in place to strengthen the expertise of teachers and assist them in the teaching-learning process.
DepEd launched the revised K to 10 program last August 10, which will be executed in stages from 2024 to 2028.
