LTO summons owner of vehicle involved in Cavite road rage
MANILA, Philippines — The (LTO) has issued a show-cause order against the owner of the vehicle whose driver was involved in a road rage incident in Cavite.
A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows a Honda CRV swerving to block another vehicle on a public road. The male driver was then heard cursing at the occupants of the other vehicle.
The initial investigation indicated that the driver of the vehicle was not its owner, as the registered owner was a female, according to an LTO statement issued on Monday.

Article continues after this advertisementThe LTO also summoned the registered owner, asking her to explain in a notarized affidavit why she and the driver should not be penalized.
“We want to know if the car has been sold or lent to someone else. Through this, we will know the identity of this person,” LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II said in Filipino.
According to the LTO, the incident is considered reckless driving.
