MANILA, Philippines 鈥� Israel-based Filipino workers who were repatriated on Oct. 18 will get psychosocial counseling and other forms of support, the (DMW) said in a statement on Wednesday.
鈥淭he department, with various government agencies, will provide immediate assistance and other forms of support, including psycho-social counseling, stress debriefing, medical referral, and temporary accommodation to the OFWs while awaiting transit to their respective provinces,鈥� the DMW said.
The DMW made the announcement on the same day that it welcomed 16 Filipinos, including a one-month-old baby, from war-torn Israel on Wednesday.聽

The repatriates 鈥� the first batch from Israel 鈥� were welcomed by the Sen. Raffy Tulfo, who chairs the Senate Committee on Migrant Workers, and the聽DMW officer in charge, Hans Leo Cacdac.
In a separate statement, Philippine Ambassador to Israel Pedro 鈥淛unie鈥� Laylo Jr. said they are now assisting another group of 19 Filipinos set to fly back to the Philippines on Thursday, Oct. 19.聽
Laylo did not provide other details.聽
