MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather or slightly warm weather is seen to prevail over most parts of the country on Monday despite the possible occurrence of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Based on the early morning bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), such weather conditions are caused by the easterlies, or the warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms.

As for Batanes and Babuyan Islands, the state weather agency said these areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan.

Palawan, on the other hand, may expect overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, Pagasa added.
