MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said that it is planning to release an updated suggested retail price (SRP) bulletin within the first quarter of the year, citing that there could be price hikes on about a third of the covered goods which includes canned sardines, noodles, and bread, among others.
Trade Assistant Secretary Amanda Nograles gave this timeline and cited that out of 217 items covered in the SRP list, only 29 percent consisting of 63 items have pending price adjustments.
“I think it is good to highlight that for 154 items in the SRP bulletin or 71 percent, there are no price changes” Nograles told reporters in a press briefing last Friday in Makati.
