Parts of SCTEX Mabiga area to be closed from April 2 to 6

MANILA, Philippines — The North Luzon Expressway Corporation (NLEX) announced on Tuesday that parts of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) Mabiga area will be closed from April 2 to 6.

According to NLEX Corp., portions of the SCTEX Mabiga area will be closed to give way to the construction of the Malolos-Clark Railway Project.

Below are the closed portions of SCTEX:

  • Going NLEX  (Lanes 2, 105-meter portion)
    • April 2, 10:00 p.m. – April 3, 5:00 a.m.
  • Going Subig/Tarlac (Lane 2, 120-meter portion)
    • April 3, 10:00 p.m. – April 4, 5:00 a.m.
  • Going Nlex (Lanes 1 and 2, 105-meter portion)
    • April 5, 10:00 p.m. – April 6, 5:00 a.m.

“Motorists may pass through the shoulder lane. Directional and safety signs will be put up in strategic areas,” NLEX Corp. said in an advisory.

The Malolos-Clark Railway Project, which is part of the Department of Transportation and the Philippine National Railways’ North-South Commuter Railway project, is set to serve as the railway link between Metro Manila and Clark International Airport in Pampanga by 2026.
