PNP releases P7.6 billion for mid-year bonus of police force
MANILA, Philippines — A total of P7.6 billion mid-year bonus for 228,893 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel was released on Wednesday, according to the PNP-Public Information Office (PIO).

PNP-PIO said the bonus funds came from the 2024 national budget’s appropriations for the police force.

“A total allocation of P7,629,893,993, as specified in the 2024 General Appropriations Act, has been credited to the Landbank ATM Payroll accounts of eligible PNP personnel,” it said in a statement on Thursday.

“This mid-year bonus, equivalent to one month’s basic pay as of May 15, 2024, is granted to personnel who have served at least four months of service from July 1, 2023, to May 15, 2024,” PNP-PIO added.

However, the bonus of personnel with pending cases or those serving punishment was withheld as part of the police organization’s disciplinary policy.

For his part, PNP chief General Rommel Marbil said the bonus “reflects the government’s appreciation for the relentless dedication of our men and women in uniform.”
