Reblocking, repairs on Metro Manila roads set for June 7-10

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct reblocking and repairs on several roads in Metro Manila from June 7 to 10.

The DPWH work will begin at 11 p.m. on Friday, June 7, and end at 5 a.m. on Monday, June 10, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

“The affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday, June 10,”  the MMDA said in a traffic advisory. “Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.”

Most of the roads where DPWH will conduct the reblocking and repairs are in Quezon City, as follows:

  • Fairview Avenue from Doña Carmen to Winston Street (outermost lane)
  • Quirino Highway near City Bus Terminal (outer lane) going to Fairview
  • Tandang Sora Avenue
  • Congressional Avenue Extension
  • Congressional Avenue Extension between Tandang Sora Avenue and Visayas Avenue
  • Regalado Avenue northbound going to Commonwealth Avenue
  • Quirino Highway
  • North Avenue northbound before Sen. Miriam P. Defensor-Santiago Avenue (second lane from the sidewalk)
  • Congressional Avenue Extension from EB Bridge to KM 15 (truck lane)
  • Mindanao Avenue southbound in front of JBD Plaza to Road 8 (second lane from the sidewalk)
  • Mindanao Avenue southbound before Mindanao Bridge 1 (truck lane)
  • Congressional Avenue Extension FB in front of Raprap Sushi House (truck lane)
  • Sgt. Rivera corner Skyway Bypass Road to A. Bonifacio Avenue (second lane from center)
  • A. Bonifacio Avenue from 5th Avenue to Cloverleaf interchange EDSA (second lane)
  • Quirino Highway from Sagittarius Street to the corner of Mindanao Avenue (second lane from center)
  • Quirino Highway starting at Baesa Cemetery to Masagana and Mendez Road to Baesa Road (first lane from the sidewalk)
  • Commonwealth Avenue from Luzon Avenue to Central Avenue (first lane from the sidewalk)
  • Fairview Avenue, Doña Carmen to Mercury Drug (outermost lane)
  • Tandang Sora Avenue from Tierra Pura Homes to New Era School

The other areas are as follows:

  • EDSA southbound near L. Woods Street in Pasay City
  • EDSA southbound fronting EcoOil (outer lane) in San Juan City
  • Taft Avenue from Quirino Avenue to MRT Baclaran (outer lane) in Parañaque City
