Olongapo malls open for flood-hit residents
OLONGAPO CITY — The malls in this city opened their doors on Wednesday, July 24, to residents affected by heavy rains and floods brought by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina.
SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown announced they would accommodate those seeking temporary shelter. Ayala Malls Harbor Point also welcomed customers to wait out the storm inside their premises.
Additionally, the malls announced that overnight parking fees would be waived on Wednesday.

Several villages in the city were submerged by floods as rivers breached their banks around 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Data from the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office showed that the water level in the river flowing beneath Del Rosario, Sta. Rita and Kalaklan Bridge had reached three meters. INQ
