SANTA MAGDALENA, Sorsogon 鈥 Sea travel in northeastern Sorsogon was suspended again as the area was placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 due to Severe Tropical Storm Leon (international name: Kong-rey).
In an advisory issued at 11 p.m. on Monday, October 28, the Sorsogon Coast Guard Station (CGS) announced a temporary ban on all vessel and watercraft travel, with no exemptions 鈥渞egardless of type or tonnage.鈥

The suspension specifically affects the towns of Prieto Diaz, Gubat, and the provincial capital, all situated along Sorsogon鈥檚 northeastern coast.
According to the latest forecast, Leon was located 705 kilometers east of Echague, Isabela, with maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching 125 kilometers per hour.
