LEGAZPI CITY — Classes at all levels were still suspended in several areas in Albay province on Tuesday due to continuous rains brought by the Shear Line.

The Albay Information Office said the suspension of in-person classes covered the towns of Camalig, Daraga, Polangui, Pio Duran, Bacacay, Manito, Malilipot, Sto. Domingo, Oas, Libon, and Malinao, and the cities of Legazpi and Tabaco.

In Guinobatan town, the school heads were advised to assess the situation in their areas as the basis for suspension.

Acting Gov. Baby Glenda Bongao ordered the local officials to implement localized suspension of classes due to the heavy rainfall that has affected the province since Sunday.

In the 2 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned of moderate to heavy rains affecting Albay, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon.

Pagasa also warned of flooding in Camarines Norte due to heavy rains. INQ
