MANILA, Philippines — No weather disturbance is seen to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next few days, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
But three weather systems—shearline, northeast monsoon, and easterlies—continue to influence the country’s atmospheric conditions and are expected to trigger cloudy skies, rains, and thunderstorms, the state weather agency added.
Pagasa specialist Benison Estareja said during the early Friday morning weathercast that the northeast monsoon, locally termed amihan, would still affect Northern and Central Luzon while the shear line and easterlies affect Southern Luzon and Visayas and Mindanao, respectively.

Estareja also said the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte on Friday.
He added that the northeast monsoon will cause overcast skies with rains in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon, Estrajea likewise said.
“Base sa ating latest satellite animation, wala tayong namamataan na bagyo o low-pressure area sa paligid ng Philippine area of responsibility [na] makakaapekto sa ating bansa sa susunod na araw,” Estareja noted.

Pagasa, however, said that due to prevailing or expected strong to gale-force winds, sea travel would be risky for small sea crafts, including all motor bancas, advising mariners to remain in port or seek safe harbor.
It raised a gale warning over the coasts of the following:
- Northern and eastern seaboards of northern Luzon (Batanes, Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands, and Isabela)
- Northern and western seaboards of northern Luzon (Ilocos Norte And Ilocos Sur {sinait, Cabugao, San Juan, Magsingal, Santo Domingo, San Vicente, Santa Catalina, City Of Vigan, Caoayan, Santa)
