MANILA, Philippines — Detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy will be transferred to a public hospital after a Pasig City court allowed his hospitalization, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) confirmed on Friday.
Quiboloy was brought back over the previous weekend after complaining of difficulty breathing. He was diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia and brought to a private hospital for treatment.

“We received a court order partially granting his hospitalization. PDL (person deprived of liberty) Quiboloy was also ordered to be transferred to a public hospital per Court Order issued by RTC (Regional Trial Court) 159 Judge dated 23 January 2025,” BJMP Spokesperson Jayrex Bustinera confirmed to in a Viber message on Friday.
“Since yesterday, pina-process na ang discharge niya by the BJMP (the BJMP has been processing his discharge). We expect his transfer to the public hospital today,” Bustinera added.
The BJMP did not disclose the hospital location for security purposes.

Quiboloy was previously hospitalized last November at the Philippine Heart Center due to an “irregular heartbeat.”

The KJC founder is accused of child abuse, sexual abuse, and qualified trafficking.
