NCRPO logs over 140,000 violations of local ordinances, P42.3M in fines

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) recorded over 140,000 apprehensions for violating local ordinances since the start of January 2025, collecting P42,391,931 in fines.

MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) recorded over 140,000 apprehensions for violating local ordinances since the start of January 2025, collecting P42,391,931 in fines.

Data from the NCRPO released on Saturday showed the following violations logged in Metro Manila:

The violations resulted in apprehensions in the following districts comprising NCRPO:

“Crime prevention always starts with an effective enforcement of discipline and order in the community,” NCRPO Director Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin said in a statement.

“As we continuously hunt lawless elements who threaten peace and security, we will also simultaneously address minor peace and safety issues to foster a highly favorable security landscape in Metro Manila,” Aberin added.

The NCRPO recently also reported a 23 percent decrease in crime from Nov. 23, 2024 to Jan. 15, 2025.
