Dela Rosa to ICC: We will go to the Supreme Court to seek relief
MANILA, Philippines — “We will seek judicial relief if the International Criminal Court (ICC) really has jurisdiction here.”
These were the words used by Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa when he addressed on Monday the reports that the Department of Justice has signified the Philippine government’s willingness to talk with ICC probers soon regarding former President Rodrigo Duterte’s brutal drug war.

“Come in here, ICC. We will go to the Supreme Court, we will seek judicial relief if the ICC really has jurisdiction here,” said Dela Rosa in a statement.
He said he won’t entertain any calls from the ICC as this is tantamount to acknowledging their jurisdiction over the Philippines.
“Go away! You don’t care about us. Leave us alone. We can do our job here,” he said.
