MANILA, Philippines — A residential area in Daang Tubo, Barangay U.P. Campus, Quezon City, was devastated by a fire that reached the third alarm on Monday, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.

The BFP said firefighters responded to the scene at 9:37 a.m., with the first alarm raised two minutes later.

The blaze escalated to the second alarm at 9:46 a.m. and the third alarm at 10:07 a.m., it added.

As of this writing, efforts are still ongoing to extinguish the fire, according to BFP.
