Heavy rains forecast in Quezon from Saturday to Monday (Feb 8 to 10)
MANILA, Philippines — Quezon province will experience heavy to intense rains from Saturday (February 8) to Monday (February 10) due to a shear line.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) gave the forecast on Saturday.
According to Pagasa’s 5 a.m. rainfall outlook, the shear line, or the convergence of warm and cold winds, will also bring heavy to intense rains in Camarines Norte on Saturday.
The state weather bureau warned that heavy to intense rains (100 to 200 millimeters of rainfall) will likely bring numerous flooding, especially in urbanized, low-lying coastal areas.
On the other hand, landslides are possible in moderate to highly susceptible places.
