Remains of 2 Chinese kidnapped in Alabang in 2023 found buried in Cavite

LUCENA CITY — Police recovered the dead bodies of two Chinese kidnap victims in General Trias City, Cavite on Friday, February 7.

The Region 4A police in a report Saturday, Feb. 8, said the exhumed remains were identified as persons who were previously abducted – the alleged missing mother, Rong Rong Hong, and her 11-year-old son, Zineng Zheng.

The two persons were kidnapped in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City in October 2023.

Their remains were unearthed by combined operatives from the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group and local police in Barangay (village) San Francisco around 5 p.m.

Police are conducting further investigations and will subject the remains to post-mortem examinations and autopsy to confirm their identity and find out the cause of their death.

On October 30, 2023, six armed men barged inside one of the houses in the posh village of Muntinlupa and abducted nine persons, including six Chinese.

The victims were then loaded into a van.

Three of the victims, all Filipinos – a couple who served as a stay-in house helper and driver and their son — were later freed in Calauan, Laguna

Four of the six Chinese were found dead in Tanay, Rizal and Infanta, Quezon on November 1 and 6.

In December 2023, police arrested three suspects behind the kidnapping.

They were detained and are facing criminal charges.
