Presidential Communications Undersecretary Emerald Ridao (Photo from PCO)
MANILA, Philippines 鈥斅犅燬enior Undersecretary Emerald Ridao will serve as the officer-in-charge of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), PCO Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez confirmed on Thursday.
Based on Special Order. No 25-004 dated February 12, Ridao, in a temporary capacity, will oversee the 鈥渄ay-to-day operations of the PCO, and if necessary, act for and on behalf of the Acting Secretary鈥� from February 17 to 21.
Meanwhile, in a Viber message, Chavez told reporters he will 鈥渢ry to work at full capacity while physically on leave.鈥�
Chavez refused to disclose the reason for the brief leadership reassignment.
