Metro Manila cops seize drugs worth P124 million from Jan. 1 to Feb. 15

MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported confiscating drugs worth a total of P124 million in operations from January 1 to February 15 this year.
In a statement Tuesday, the Metro Manila police detailed that it seized over 146,000 grams of marijuana, more than 15,000 grams of shabu (crystal meth), 271 grams of kush, 5 grams of cocaine and 73 tablets of ecstasy.
Furthermore, the NCRPO reported arresting 1,867 drug personalities.
“Our aggressive, relentless and procedure-based campaign against illegal drugs will remain a primordial strategy in delivering a peaceful, safe and secure Metro Manila,” NCRPO Director Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin said in the statement.
In another release, the NCRPO reported apprehending 1,996 wanted persons from January 1 to February 15.

- Southern Police District (SPD) – 490 arrests
- Quezon City Police District (QCPD) – 386 arrests
- Northern Police District (NPD) – 380 arrests
- Manila Police District (MPD) – 373 arrests
- Eastern Police District (EPD) – 367 arrests
