Magnitude 4.5 quake hits western Pangasinan

A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck western Pangasinan early morning on Monday (March 3), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

DAGUPAN CITY – A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck western Pangasinan early morning on Monday (March 3), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The center of the earthquake, which was recorded at 5:11 a.m. and was of tectonic origin, was located in the town of Agno, but there had been no reported damage, according to the Agno municipal disaster risk reduction and management office.

Phivolcs said the earthquake was also felt in Bolinao town, but the tremor was weak, said resident Margaret Celeste, who got out of bed.

She said there had been no reported damage in the town.
