MANILA, Philippines 鈥斅� President Ferdinand 鈥淏ongbong鈥� R. Marcos Jr. on Friday vowed that the government will regularly hold job fairs that will not only provide employment but also address job mismatches in the country.
Speaking at the 鈥淭rabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan sa Bagong Pilipinas鈥� fair in Pili, Camarines Sur, Marcos highlighted that it is important to provide employment opportunities that match the skills of job seekers.
鈥淎lam niyo po ay napakaimportante na makapag-matching ng trabaho. Ano 鈥榶ung kakayahan ng isang nais magtrabaho ay kailangan makahanap siya ng trabaho na bagay sa kanya,鈥� Marcos said in his speech.
(You know, it is very important to match jobs properly. A job seeker must find work that suits his or her skills.)
(What we are looking for are long-term job opportunities that can truly provide a good livelihood for every worker, allowing them to bring some comfort to themselves, their families, and their communities.)
Marcos also expressed hope that the initiative would help Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in the province.
鈥淢arami po tayong mga participant dito galing sa mga private na korporasyon. Sila po ay naghahanap din ng manggagawa, at 鈥榶ung matching na na ating ginawa. Maraming salamat sa inyo sa inyong pakikilahok dito sa aming ginagawa na job fair,鈥� he said.
