Arrest of 4 drug suspects in Laguna yields P340,000 worth of shabu, guns
LUCENA CITY – Four suspected big-time drug traffickers were arrested on Friday (March 7) in a buy-bust operation in San Pablo City, Laguna.
The operation yielded P340,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and two illegal firearms, the police said.
The Police Region 4A reported that a team of anti-narcotics agents nabbed the suspected drug pushers identified by their aliases as “Celso,” “Leonel,” “Reynaldo” and “Rolan” at 7:35 p.m.
The men were apprehended after they sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Sta. Cruz.
Seized from the suspects were three sealed plastics containing shabu weighing a total of 50 grams worth P340,000.

The cops also confiscated from Celso two undocumented caliber .22 revolvers and nine bullets.
The four suspects are classified as high-value individuals (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.
HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers and importers of illegal drugs, or leaders and members of illegal drug syndicates.
All suspects are under police custody and will face complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Celso will also face another case for illegal possession of firearms and violation of the election gun ban.
