Magnitude 4.9 quake jolts parts of Lanao del Sur, Bukidnon, Cotabato

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.9 earthquake jolted parts of Lanao del Sur, Bukidnon and Cotabato on Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake, according to Phivolcs, struck at 12:53 a.m., three kilometers southeast of Wao, Lanao del Sur.
Damage and aftershocks are expected, Phivolcs said.

Intensity IV (Moderately Strong)
- Kalilangan, Bukidnon
- Banisilan, Cotabato
- Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur
Intensity III (Weak)
- Don Carlos, Kadingilan and Pangantucan, Bukidnon
Intensity II (Slightly Felt)
- Baungon, Dangcagan, Maramag, and Talakag, Bukidnon
- City of Cagayan de Oro
- Alamada, Carmen, Matalam, Pigcawayan and President Roxas, Cotabato
Intensity I (Scarcely Perceptible)
- Damulog, Kibawe, Kitaotao, Lantapan, Libona, Quezon and City of Valencia, Bukidnon
- Magpet, Cotabato

Phivolcs, the earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of three kilometers.
