‘Ex-president Duterte’s blood sugar level shoots up’

MANILA, Philippines — The blood sugar of shot up following his arrest earlier on Tuesday, based on a medical note posted by his daughter on a social media account.
In an Instagram story, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte posted a photo of a medical note saying Duterte’s glucose level “shot up to 328 despite insulin.”
“He is advised admission to avoid acute diabetic complications of DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis),” the physician said as seen on the the post of the ex-president’s daughter
Duterte’s daughter also said in the post’s caption that his father was “illegally detained” at the 250th Presidential Airlift Wing of the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City.
She also said, “they aren’t allowing my dad to seek medical attention he badly needs.”
The Palace earlier confirmed the arrest of Duterte for his alleged crimes against humanity.
In a statement, the Presidential Communications Office said the International Criminal Police Organization – Manila received the official copy of the arrest warrant.
