MANILA, Philippines — Easterlies will bring rains and partly cloudy to cloudy skies in some parts of the country on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said this weather system, wherein the winds are coming from the Pacific Ocean, continues to prevail in most parts of the country.
Cloudy to cloudy skies will cover Luzon, including Metro Manila, due to easterlies.
(We will continue to experience hot weather, especially at noon, and there is a possibility of isolated lightning or thunderstorms brought by easterlies.)

Scattered rains, lightning and thunder are expected in parts of Visayas and Mindanao, where Castañeda warned of possible flooding and landslides due to moderate to rough rainfall.

(The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies.)
Meanwhile, she said that no low pressure area or tropical cyclone is being seen inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
