MANILA, Philippines — Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte on Sunday cursed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for allowing the International Criminal Court (ICC) to take custody of his father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
“‘Yung tatay mo (Marcos Sr.) pinalibing ng tatay ko (Duterte), pero yung tatay ko pinakulong mo. P i** ka!” he said during the 88th Araw ng Dabaw celebration in Davao City.
(My father allowed your father to be buried, but you had my father jailed. You son of a w****!)
Former President Duterte allowed the burial of Marcos Sr. at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City in 2016 despite public outrage, particularly from human rights advocates who fought the Marcos dictatorship.

Mayor Deterte also said they would “stand up” and “fight back” on the alleged illegal arrest of his father.
The mayor further took a jab at Marcos, saying he would never be loved by Duterte supporters.
“It seems to me the stories that I’ve heard about Martial Law and oppression are synonymous with the Marcos family name,” he said.
“Mr. President Marcos, you will never be loved, especially by us who are calling out Rody Duterte’s name. You will never be loved, Mr. Marcos,” he added.
His remarks were followed by Duterte supporters chanting, “Marcos resign.”
sought a comment from the Palace regarding his tirades but is yet to receive a response.
On Tuesday night, March 11, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. brushed off claims that former President Duterte’s arrest was merely political persecution, saying the government only complied with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).
“I don’t see how that can be political persecution on my part because it was initiated before I came into the picture,” Marcos said.
“Once again, we have to recognize that, of course, it’s natural for people to put… political color, but we just followed Interpol),” he added in a mix of English and Filipino.
