P2.3M worth of ecstasy, shabu, 鈥榢ush鈥� seized from 3 suspects in Cavite

LUCENA CITY — Law enforcers nabbed three suspected big-time illegal drug traffickers and seized more than P2.3 million worth of ecstasy tablets, shabu (crystal meth) and marijuana derivatives in buy-bust operations on Tuesday, March 18, in Cavite province.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 4A reported Wednesday that its team of agents and policemen arrested two suspected drug pushers in a sting operation in Barangay Buhay na Tubig in Imus City at 9:40 p.m.
The arrested suspects, identified as “Gi,” 26, and his female partner, “Kirstein,” 21, were caught with 10 knot-tied plastic bags containing 1,000 blue tables suspected as ecstasy worth P1,700,000.
The suspect also yielded several disposable vape carts and plastic bags containing kush valued at P180,000 and a digital weighing scale.
The report identified the suspects, both residents of the said village, as a high-value individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.
HVI refers to financiers, traffickers, manufacturers, and importers of illegal drugs, as well as leaders or members of drug syndicates.
On March 1, PDEA regional operatives also seized 5,553 ecstasy tablets worth P9.4 million from three big-time illegal drug traffickers, two of them Nigerian nationals, in separate drug bust operations in Bacoor City.
Meanwhile, police anti-illegal drugs operatives busted an alias “Robert” after he sold P1,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay San Gabriel in Gen. Mariano Alvarez town, the Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) reported.
Seized from the suspect, also tagged as an HVI, were 30 plastic sachets containing meth weighing 65 grams worth P442,200.
Authorities are investigating the source of the illegal drugs.
The three arrested suspects were detained and will face a formal complaint of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
