Scattered rains expected over parts of PH on Sunday night

MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with scattered rains are expected over many parts of the country on Sunday night, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 p.m. forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) would bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao and Palawan.

The northeast monsoon, meanwhile, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
Pagasa also said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over Visayas, the Bicol Region, and Romblon due to the easterlies.
The same weather system will also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.
The state weather bureau said that as of 2 p.m., no low-pressure area is being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.
