ANGELES CITY, Pampanga 鈥� Police arrested two men who were allegedly found in possession of about P7,051,000 worth of 鈥渟habu鈥� (crystal meth) and a handgun during a sting operation in Malabanias village on Sunday afternoon.
In a statement on Monday, the city police identified the suspects only as 鈥淯sup鈥� and 鈥淭obats,鈥� residents of Lourdes Northwest and Lourdes Sur villages in this city.
According to the police, the two are high-value individuals in the campaign against illegal drugs.
At around 4 p.m. on Sunday, officers conducted a buy-bust operation in Hensonville Subdivision, leading to the arrest.
Authorities confiscated a kilo of suspected shabu and a .45 caliber Norinco pistol loaded with live bullets and equipped with a silencer.
The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and the ongoing election gun ban. INQ
