This positive development came after the expedited delivery of the fabricated steel needed for the bridge, according to NLEx.
A 4.9-meter-high truck—which exceeded the 4.2-meter vertical clearance of the expressway’s interchange bridge—hit the span last March 19.
This triggered its closure for repair and heavy traffic reaching as far as Bocaue and Balintawak.
Supporting street poles will remain on the lanes to allow concrete curing of the damaged bridge.
On March 24, NLEx Corporation implemented a temporary toll relief on the northbound portion of the expressway from Balintawak to Meycauayan.
Around 320,000 motorists use the NLEX on a daily basis.
