Rizal cops nab 2 drug suspects, seize shabu worth P350,000

LUCENA CITY — Police in Rizal province seized more than P350,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from two drug suspects arrested on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Region 4A police said in a report Thursday that the local police drug enforcement unit in Morong town held “Del” at 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday after he sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Maybancal.

The suspect yielded two plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 40 grams worth P272,000.

In Rodriguez town, anti-illegal drugs operatives busted “Rene” at 1:30 a.m. Thursday in another sting operation in Barangay Macabud.

The suspect was caught with three sachets of meth weighing 11.5 grams valued at P78,200.

Police tagged the arrested suspects as street pushers in their localities.

They were detained and will face the charge of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
