MANILA, Philippines — Some parts of the country will have rainy weather on Friday due to the low-pressure area (LPA) east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In a morning forecast, Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said the LPA will specifically affect the eastern parts of Visayas, Mindanao, and the Bicol Region.
(We expect this LPA to bring rains, particularly over Caraga, Eastern Visayas, and some parts of the Bicol Region.)

(No other cloud clusters were spotted in any part of the country, so hot weather will continue to be experienced today. However, isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are still possible.)
This LPA was last spotted 95 kilometers east of Hinatuan with minimal chances of developing into a tropical cyclone.
Badrina explained that LPA will likely dissipate over the weekend as it nears the country’s landmass.
Aside from the LPA, he said Pagasa is not monitoring another weather disturbance inside or outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
Badrina likewise reported that no gale warning was raised on any of the country’s seaboards.
