Fire engulfs old building at Ospital ng Maynila

Fire gutted an old building inside the Ospital ng Maynila in Malate in the early hours of Sunday, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

MANILA, Philippines — Fire gutted an old building inside the Ospital ng Maynila in Malate in the early hours of Sunday, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.

The blaze was reported at 1:30 a.m. and raised to first alarm status eight minutes later.

The BFP declared it “under control” at 1:52 a.m. and was put out at 2:12 a.m.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire and the total damage to property.
