PNP promotes 4 police brigadier generals, 28 colonels

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has awarded Medalya ng Kagalingan (Medal of Merit) to eight Antipolo City Police Station personnel, who quickly responded in a shooting that ended in a car chase in Antipolo City on Sunday afternoon.

MANILA, Philippines — Four police brigadier generals and 28 colonels were promoted to their next higher ranks on Tuesday, according to a document from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters.

Promoted to the rank of major generals are the following police officials:

Brig. Gen. Jerico Orillo Baldeo, Director for Information and Communications Technology Management Brig. Gen. Lex Ephraim Corpuz Gurat, Director for Plans
Brig. Gen. Neri Vincent Diego Ignacio, Director for Logistics

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director Brig. Gen. Anthony Abellada Aberin was also promoted to major general.

Meanwhile, the 28 colonels promoted to brigadier generals included directorial staff chiefs Colonel Primitivo Bayongan Jr. of the Legislative Affairs Center; and Colonel Moises Onatas Villaceran Jr., the country’s police attaché in Washington D.C.

National operational support unit chiefs Colonels Elmer Ragay, Bonard Briton, Frankie Candelario and Marvin Saro of the Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG), Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG), Intelligence Group (IG), and Police Community Affairs and Development Group (PCADG), were also promoted to brigadier generals.

As for the colonels among national administrative support unit chiefs, Legal Service Director Colonel Aris Manansala Pestaño and Chaplain Service Director Colonel Jaime Seriña III were also given the promotion.

Furthermore, Colonels Josefino Ligan, Villamor Tuliao and Melecio Buslig Jr. – the directors of the NCRPO’s Northern, Eastern and Quezon City Police Districts – were likewise promoted to brigadier general.

Erosito Narito Miranda – Regional Chief Directorial Staff, NCRPO

Alan Bolongon Manibog – Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Police Regional Office (PRO) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao

Arnold Evangelista Abad – Deputy Director, National Police Training Institute

Jeffrey Zafe Decena – Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO 3

Maria Sheila Templonuevo Portento – Dean of Academics, PNP Academy

Glicerio Carato Cansilao – Executive Officer, Directorate for Intelligence

Vina Habana Guzman – Commandant of Cadets, PNP Academy

Alexander Golles Mariano – Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO 6

Romeo Allas Espero Jr. – Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO 9
